Each opera is introduced with a synopsis. Each has an
'original-language' text (language indicated in parentheses below) and
an English version of varying quality. Paper quality is fair, but type
is large and clear. There are numerous oddities in the material: absence
of dramatis personae, order of titles under the composer, language of
the 'original', and so on. Perhaps strangest of all is the selection of
titles: six Massenet operas, but not Manon! I have attempted to copy the
information accurately, down to vagaries of naming (Othello, but Romeo
et Juliette).
