CKI

Casein Kinase I (CKI) is a protein kinase family that is highly conserved in all eukaryotes. In Arabidopsis, there are 14 isoforms expressed. CKI has been implicated in various cellular functions, developmental processes, and diseases in other organisms although its function in plants is not yet well known. We are specifically interested in understanding the roles of Arabidopsis CK1 isoforms in cell patterning and development.
