Dumpling Potluck & Elections

It’s that time again! Time to run for next year’s CCSA e-board positions! So if you think you have what it takes or always wanted to get involved with CCSA and our events, come contribute and RUN FOR A POSITION! You can be President, VP, Secretary, Treasurer, Public Relations, Historian and Webmaster. We always switch people around and we will be missing a few that are graduating this year, so ANYTHING is up for grabs. Don’t be shy, you don’t have to campaign or start a debate…

We need your name, what position you are running for, and a summary explaining why you think you should be the next [position]. We will be holding our Elections on April 29th at our famous Webmaster’s house. We will have dumplings and a potluck night, so it will be very chill and casual. All candidates must give a little speech regarding what position they are running for. What qualities do you have? What can you contribute to our student organization? Things that make you more qualified than the rest of candidates, stuff like that. It is not scary and everyone has to do it, so relax, CCSA members are very friendly and do not bite! CCSA members must have attended at least 3 of our meetings in order to vote for candidates.

Aside from the elections, we will also have lots and lots of DUMPLINGS!!!! And this time, we will NOT run out! It will be $2 for ALL YOU CAN EAT!! That’s a sweet deal, so why would you want to pass that up?!

Dinner will be served starting around 7:00pm, come for the dumplings, stay to meet the new E-Board. Or just come for the dumplings. Everyone is welcome to come enjoy a great CCSA dinner

CCSA Bowling Night

Hope everyone had a wonderful Spring Break! Now that we’re back, it’s all about the books and exams… so that is why for our next meeting, Tuesday, April 15th, we are going to have a fun night of BOWLING!! So come out with CCSA next week, we’ll roll some balls and make some strikes! We will split up into teams, the more people the better, so if you want your team to win, bring some REALLY good bowlers!

Anyone who needs a ride must meet at the Perkins entrance at 9 PM! Otherwise, we’ll be at the Blue Hen Lanes in the Newark Shopping Center down E Main St at 9:05 PM!

There will likely be a small cost to use the lanes so please bring a few dollars for lanes and shoes

Ice Cream Social

Come early for VSA's Spring Rolls at 6pm in the Perkins Student Center Gallery and then go to the Hen Zone for our desert and games! We'll be playing Wii, pool, Guitar Hero, ping-pong, and more! Bring your friends and get to know old and new VSA & CCSA members alike. It'll be a fun, informal sort of gathering for us to chat about some of the cool events - *cough* Chinatown - that we've got lined up.

So come around 6 PM in the Perkins Gallery. Please bring $1 for the Spring Rolls hosted by VSA and then after that, we’ll bring on the ice cream!

Game Night Part II

CCSA & VSA are having our ever popular bi-annual Game Night. It's a great time for all and as students, we got to relax. We will be having MahJong, Chinese Checkers, Chess, Go, and more! We will explain all the rules so you will be a MahJong champion in no time. Oh, of course, food and drink will also be available. Offer good only while supplies last.

Dumpling Night

Tuesday, November 27th - 7:00pm

That's right folks, now that you're fat with Thanksgiving, we are bringing it back Chinese style with all you can get (or until we're fresh out) dumplings. We will be making them so get there early to make your own dumplings. The cost is only $1, one-dollar, that's 4 quarters, 10 dimes, one green bill with George Washington on the front. This is one of the special CCSA events so don't miss out. No better way to establish good Chinese relations than over a dumpling dinner.

Lion Dance Demo

November 15th - 7:00pm
Perkins Room

Get a taste of Chinese culture with our very own CCSA lion dance troupe. We will also be showcasing music, art, and information on how lion dances all stated.

CCSA Spooky Night

October 30th - 7:00pm

Come join us celebrate Halloween Eve with a movie guarateed to fill you with fear and dread. It's the recent Korean gory classic, Old Boy!

Of course, the fearless shall come with costumes

Scatter & Gather

October 16th - 6:00pm
Perkins 3rd Floor(CCSA Office)

Here’s a clue
to what we’re gonna do.
Groups scatter around and fussing
to the riddle that keep you guessing.
Running here to there at UD,
to find places in the University.
You must answer the riddle correctly,
in order to locate the next site directly.
The goal is to get to the final location,
but also be first to the destination.
The group who wins will get a nice treat,
and become the riddle masters to beat!
