Horticulture Club Information

The Horticulture Club at the University of Delaware is a community of people who love plants! The Club was founded in 1974 and is one of the oldest clubs in the College of Agriculture and Natural Sciences. Although the Club is considered an agriculture club, it is open to any University of Delaware community member, regardless of major.

There is only one club meeting per semester. For the rest of the year, we volunteer, hold plant sales, and visit various plant shows and gardens to indulge in nature's beauty. Most of these trips will be paid for by the Club. However, some special trips may require members to pay for their own admission or bring spending money for food or souvenirs. Details for each trip can be found on our Upcoming Events page.

If you would like to join the club:

  • Sign up for our mailing list by e-mailing us at udelhortclub@gmail.com. Make sure to add udelhortclub@gmail.com to your e-mail address book to ensure our e-mails are sent to your inbox and not your junk mail folder.
  • Also place a $10 deposit in a sealed envelope labeled with your name and "Horticulture Club". Place the envelope in a club mailbox (at either 218 Trabant or 104 Townsend Hall). You will need to do this in order to attend trips. However, the $10 is only a deposit and will be returned to you at the end of semester or when you choose to leave the club.
