Preparing for Ag Day 2008
Ag Day is an annual event for the College of Agriculture & Natural Resources. It is organized by the Ag Community Council and involves many agriculture-related organizations from the UD campus and local community. These organizations host activities, sell food, run information booths, promote their cause, etc. The Horticulture Club has always hosted a large plant sale inside the Fisher Greenhouse Laboratory. Proceeds from our sale help fund Horticulture Club activities for the coming school year.
If you want to help out, please contact the Club at udelhortclub@gmail.com. Thank you!

We are looking for people to help Hort Club prepare an information table to set up outside of our plant sale. The information table will feature a 3-sided poster and seed-planting materials. The idea is to teach children about how plants grow and let them plant their own seeds. The information on the poster has not been determined yet, but should include information on seed planting & how plants grow. Information about how the Hort Club grew its plants for the plant sale could also be included. Photos can be found at the Hort Club's "Working in the Greenhouse" photo album on Photobucket.com.
Volunteer on Ag Day
We want as many volunteers as we can get there! If you come, you will receive a free volunteer's shirt. Volunteers help set up for the sale, assist customers, cashier, keep the sale area looking nice throughout the day, and clean up after the sale.
You don't need to know anything about plants to volunteer at the sale. However, some volunteers may wish to learn about the plants we are selling in order to better-assist customers. Below is a list of the plants we are selling, as well as 2 documents you can download to learn about the plants.
