Mission Statement
Greek life at the University of Delaware will become the leading group of the greater community at the University of Delaware through achievement in Brotherhood, Sisterhood and Community, Character, Academics, Leadership, and Service. We shall become the model by which other Greek organizations across the country aspire.
Brotherhood, Sisterhood & Community
We make every effort to share common values and to accept and appreciate our surrounding community while embracing others.
Character
It’s the virtue that encompasses us as leaders within the Greek community. We commit ourselves to be diligent and responsible for our behavior and actions. The Greek community will uphold the values of loyalty, truth, and compassion to our selves, our organizations, and the greater community.
Diversity
Our community works to create a climate that encourages all members of the University community to respect and appreciate individual and cultural differences and to promote equity for people of different backgrounds.
Academics
Our community strives to achieve excellence in the classroom along with other scholastic engagements. We will strive to maintain GPA above the all male and female campus average.
Leadership
We define leaders as those who commit themselves to setting the best example for their fellow Greek brothers, sisters, and independent students.
Service
We ensure that our organizations are committed to serving their respective philanthropies as
well as improving the quality of life in the University and the surrounding communities.
We understand and recognize that our commitment to service is a vital part of the well
being of the greater community.
