On Saturday February 2, 2002, the Charter School of Wilmington played host to the first NAQT Delaware State Championship tournament.  Fourteen teams, representing seven schools, participated in this inaugural event.  The field was divided up into two brackets of seven, where each team played a round robin, with ladder play following in the final two rounds.  In the end, Charter School A won the state championship, with Charter School B coming in second and Salesianum coming in third.
