Alpha Gamma Rho to become 10th Fraternity to occupy lettered house

Alpha Gamma Rho, the social fraternity for men in the fields of Agriculture and Natural Resources is pleased to formally announce that we will become the 10th fraternity on campus to occupy a lettered fraternity house. Since October of 2000, we have been working with University administration to find a mutually beneficial housing arrangement. The result will be the renovation and conversion of 59 Lovett Avenue, a University owned two story, 5 bedroom single family home into a lettered fraternity house. Renovations on the house, which will fit 7 men, are slated to start in mid to late April for an August 15 occupancy.

The house will be upgraded to include university ethernet, cable, and phone capabilities as well as sprinklers and made handicapped accessible. Small to moderate reconfigurations of the interior layout will also be made to accomodate our organization's needs.

As we near our 10 year anniversary at Delaware, this new phase in our fraternity's maturity will help ensure that AGR continues to stand for the highest social, professional and academic excellence.

This initiative could not have succeeded without the tremendous support of alumni, industry, the Greek community, but most importantly the administration, faculty, and staff of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources. We are deeply grateful to the over 20 members of the university community that wrote to support our housing goals.

Updates will be posed at http://udel.edu/stu-org/agr. Questions should be directed to Andrew Short, past president and national director, Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity at bugguy@udel.edu or 266-0853.

All Questions or comments on all house issue should be directed to Housing Committee chairman Robert Morgan at rmorg@udel.edu
