"We, the students
at the University of Delaware, do hereby form the
organization known as Campus Crusade for Christ. We

him in discipleship."
ARTICLES
"The organization shall be known as
Campus Crusade for Christ (University of Delaware
Chapter)"
We hope to promote a campus environment
of thoughtful investigation and dialogue about the claims
and teachings of Jesus Christ through large group
gatherings, small group biblical discussions, special
outreaches, service projects and retreats.
This campus ministry seeks to be a
resource to the student body by offering encouragement
and opportunities to discuss spiritual matters as well as
providing materials such as outside speakers,
performances, videos, books and articles for their
benefit and consideration.
Campus Crusade for Christ is an
international organization. Regional resources are
available for our use. The University of Delaware Chapter
has no finical obligations to the international and
regional offices.
Campus Crusade for Christ has an
open-door policy. Membership will be comprised of
full-time and part-time undergraduate students; however,
any interested persons on campus or from the community
are welcome to attend the Bible studies and meetings.
Those wanting to become members must fill out a
registration card, attend a minimum of three meetings per
semester, and be willing to advance the mission of the
organization.
Campus Crusade for Christ was formed by
Christians who agree in their belief that man's only
access to God is through Jesus Christ and faith in His
deity, His death as full payment for man's sins, and His
resurrection. Although this is the foundation of this
student organization, those holding other beliefs are
welcome to attend.
The organization agrees to adhere to all
policies and procedures of the University and all local,
state, and federal laws. Members will become acquainted
with policies and procedures in the Official student
handbook and other policies and procedures provided by
the University. This organization is a viable,
functioning organization, composed of at least six full
time undergraduate students. We do not discriminate on
the basis of race, creed, color, gender, age, religion,
national origin, veteran, handicap status, or sexual
orientation.
Duties for membership are to fill out a
registration card, attend a minimum of three meetings per
semester, and be willing to advance the mission of the
organization. Members have the privilege to vote for
electing officers.

Mission
Statement: Campus Crusade for Christ is an
interdenominational Christian ministry that
desires to help students explore the relevance of
a faith in God and its relationship to personal,
academic and social concerns. Through large group
gatherings, small group biblical discussions,
special outreaches, service projects and retreats
we hope to promote a campus environment of
thoughtful investigation and dialogue about the
claims and teachings of Jesus Christ. We also
seek to develop a supportive community for those
who choose to trust Christ and follow him in
discipleship.
Section 8:
Election of Officers - An election of officers
will be held at a meeting at the end of the fall
semester. Nominees need to be selected by the existing
officers. Nominees also must have the necessary
qualifications to become an officer (see Article X,
Section 7). Elections will be done by a simple majority
by a straight show of hands with the members that are
present at the meeting. A tie will be broken by the
officers present. The newly elected officers will assume
the new role at the beginning of the spring semester.
Section 9:

Section 10:
Resignations - Officers that wish to resign from
their position must hand in a resignation letter with the
reason for departure and the date at which it is to take
effect.
Section 11:
Officer Transition - New officers will assume
their position at the beginning of the spring semester.
Former officers will mentor the new officers and transfer
necessary information in the spring semester.
General group meetings will be held oh
Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00, in a location to be
determined. Bible study groups will meet once a week, and
the executive board will meet once a month. Special
meetings or activities will be arranged informally
through personal communication and through the posting of
flyers on Campus. Officers will meet with the adviser
once a semester.
No dues are collected. Extra activities,
such as concert attendance, parties, dinners, and such,
will be individually paid for by each participant,
fund-raising activities, or by the Campus Crusade for
Christ International headquarters.
Due to the casual nature of Campus
Crusade for Christ and its purpose, which is unlike most
other student organizations, by-laws are not seen as
appropriate or necessary. Because it exists as a study
and discussion group with the students on campus, the
organization does not operate on the basis of rules or
prescribed format which would be subject to change and,
thus, require by-laws.
We will abide by the Roberts Rules of
Order to govern the organization in all cases to which
they apply.
There are no committees established as of
October 25,2001.
The adviser will be chosen by the
officers. The role of adviser will be strictly voluntary.
The University of Delaware shall inherit
the assets of any Registered Student Organization should
the group become defunct.
To conduct business legally, three
officers and 30% of the members must be present.
There must be a simple
majority vote of the organization and approval by the
Activities and Programs Office.
Requires a 2/3 vote of the
entire membership and advance notice to all members of
the proposed change.
