Delaware Men's Crew Holds 4th Annual Erg-a-Thon Fundraiser
This Saturday February 14th, the University of Delaware Men’s Crew held its 4th annual Erg-a-Thon fundraiser in the Perkins Student Center Gallery. This year, the athletes managed to raise almost $4000 to help fund the purchase of new ergometers, cox boxes, transportation costs, and regatta entry fees. As a club team, the majority of funding comes from the generous donations of family members, alumni, and friends.
The team would like to thank all who contributed to the success of this event.
The erg-a-thon consisted of a series of 15-minute races, during which the athletes attempted to pull as many meters as possible. Four rowers raced in each heat, and awards were given to the varisty heavyweight, varsity lightweight, freshman/novice heavyweight, and freshman/novice lightweight who pulled the most meters.
