UD Crew to Begin Season at Murphy Cup Regatta
The University of Delaware Men’s Crew will have their first race of the season on Saturday, March 28th at the Murphy Cup Regatta on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia, PA.
The Delaware freshman/novice heavyweight 8+ will race first at 9:30AM. They will be in lane four in their heat, with UPenn B and New Jersey on their starboard side, and Temple, Army, and Dowling on their Port.
The freshman/novice lightweight 8+ will race at 9:48AM in lane one, next to Philadelphia in lane two, Drexel in lane three, Villanova in lane four, and Lafayette in lane five.
At 10:54AM, the men’s varsity 4+ will race in lane three, with New York Maritime in lane one, Duquesne in lane two, Drexel in lane four, Susquehanna in lane five, and Pittsburgh in lane six.
The men’s varsity 2- event will take place at 12:50PM with Delaware in lane two, Lafayette in lane one, Carnegie Mellon B in lane three, Haverford in lane four, and Fairfield in lane B.
At 1:14PM, the men’s JV 8+ heat will begin with Delaware in lane two, Loyola in lane one, Philadelphia in lane three, Temple in lane four, and Army in lane five.
Both the Delaware men’s varsity heavyweight’s and lightweight’s will race at 2:02PM in the men’s varsity 8+ heat, with the Delaware heavyweight’s in lane one, Bucknell in lane two, St. Joseph’s University in lane three, the Delaware lightweight’s in lane four, and Loyola in lane five.
