We, the students of the University of Delaware, in order to nurture the appreciation of and skill in various forms of debate, do hereby form the Delaware Intercollegiate Debate Team. Team members will debate to become enlightened on the broad spectrum of political, economical, educational, social, and cultural issues that shape our world.

A note from our president:

Established in the Spring of 2006 at the University of Delaware, the Delaware Intercollegiate Debate Team was formed in order to nuture the skillful use of debate -- an art with unlimited applications.

I encourage you to explore our website and attend one of our meetings if you wish to become involved with our growing organization. We are working this semester to petition for membership in a national intercollegiate debate organization and to launch our philanthropic intitiative as advisors to students charged in the University Judicial System.

I encourage you to apply to the Team as we mold ourselves into a viable and nationally recognized student organization.
