National Agri-marketing Association
The National Agri-Marketing Association is an undergraduate student organization for students interested in the food and agri-business field. Agribusiness salespeople from Produce companies such as Dole, Kellogg’s, and Chiquita as well as representatives from Ag Chemical companies such as Novartis speak at our monthly meetings. These are professionals who just several years ago graduated with a degree similar to the one with which many of our members will graduate. We also participate in the Chesapeake Chapter of NAMA professional meetings where students have numerous opportunities to establish business contacts in a social setting. This interaction is a great way to become comfortable meeting and speaking with potential employers.
Student Chapter Growth
In 1970, the first NAMA student chapter was formed at Cal Poly. Since
then, it has grown to 32 accredited chapters and over 1,100 students. The
University of Delaware Chapter of NAMA was created in 1994 under the advisement
of Dr. Ulrich Toensmeyer.
