The Illustrious Nu Xi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated was chartered on January 14, 1989
at 6:41pm on the campus of the University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware, to inculate the bond of fraternity
in the tristate area. Being as though the first Kappamen were initiated through the Beta Sigma Chapter,
Delaware State University, on May 17, 1975, it wasn't until 1989 that a chapter was Incorporated at the University
of Delaware. Through hard work and dedication to fraternalism, the Nu Xi Chapter has hence gained the nickname
"The Eye of the Bloody Triangle."
As a chapter, we have committed ourselves to being involved in all aspects of campus life here at the University
of Delaware, as well as in the surrounding communities. We strive to provide support and love to one another,
other organizations, and fellow colleagues. The Nu Xi Chapter does not seek recognition for the many tasks that
we perform. Our contributions on and off campus are merely an indication of our passion for the "Bond." This passion
will enable us to remain dynamically active within the campus and surrounding communities. As a first rate fraternity,
our chapter's activities at the University of Delaware will prepare us for our life long commitment to Achievement,
Scholarship, Leadership, and Service.
Since its inception, sixty-nine (69)
men have entered the noble bond of Kappa. This chapter boasts an outstanding reputation of
being both men of business and scholarship, as it has been voted
Northeastern Province "Chapter of the Year" three out of the last
five years. Men from many walks of life and professions are members
of this chapter, including: Professional Football Players, Lawyers,
Accountants, Engineers, and young Businessmen. This chapter truly
typifies Achievement in Every Field of Human Endeavor.
