Every self-proclaimed environmentalist should read this book. If not just to gain an interesting perspective on the global issues at hand, and where they origniated from.
This book offers lots of great environmental information and also expertly weaves together a story of three people involved in some way with nature. Good to read if you need fuel for those ever-so-often arguments you have with friends about environmetnal issues such as pesticides, predator control, and agriculture.
Probably the most (disturbingly) realistic look into the future of the Earth if we continue at our current rate of environmental destruction and exploitation. Makes you consider the larger issues, and also makes you wonder what can be done to prevent Boyle's devasted Earth in 2025 from becoming our future
A very well researched book about all the aspects that support the Earth's ecosystem. Gibbons stresses the important of each piece of the system. Well written and offers invaluable information and perspective.
Terry writes about issues around wilderness lands (particularly the Utah Redrock Wilderness).
A magazine w/ great articles about current environmental topics.
"A journal of integrative science for resilience and sustainability."
