Wind Power Campaign |
Compared to other universities in the region, the University of Delaware does not buy wind generated electricity.
By increasing the amount of wind generated electricty used by the university, we can reduce the amount that is produced by
less environmentally friendly methods such as coal burning. S4E has passed the initiative
through DUSC (Delaware Undergraduate Student
Council) to get UD to buy at least 8% of our
electricity from wind power. Currently, the proposal is
waiting to go through higher levels of
administration. |
New groups to help out SFE This year we will be paired with the residence halls Kent, New Castle and Cannon, a sustainability themed residence hall. we will be working with them and they will be attending our meetings and helping us with what we are doing. We will also help them with an event they sponsor in their residence halls (a vegan meal). We also expect help from other RSOs on our bigger events, such as Greenfest.
