  • Penn State department of Meteorology's electronic map wall. This site has satellite, radar, upper level maps and model output.
  • Intellicast is a good site for radar images.
  • National weather service is a good place to find watches and warnings.
  • The weather channel site has a lot of information for non-meteorologists. It also provides local forecasts.
  • The National Weather Service Forecast Office at Mt. Holly is the office that makes forecasts for our area.
  • The University of Wyoming's Department of Atmospheric Science. This site has surface data, upper air soundings, and Difax maps.
  • The Storm Prediction Center has outlooks for convection and severe weather.
  • The Unisys page on hurricanes. It offers current tracking data and satellite images, as well as archived data.
  • National Center for Atmospheric Research. Satellite, radar and surface data is available here.
  • This website belongs to one of my crazy professors from undergrad. It has a lot of really great information, especially for teaching purposes.
  • The office of the state climatatologist homepage. Our state climatologist is Dr. Leathers (chair of the Geography department). The website has information about Delaware climatology.
  • The Delaware Environmental Observing System is a series of weather stations that the University of Delaware mantains. This is a good place to get real-time local data.
  • The Carbon Dioxide Information Analysis Center website contains data and graphs about levels of CO2 and other climate variables in the atmosphere.
