Investing for a Successful Retirement


This is a continuing course to assist students,
retired or nearing retirement, to find, evaluate and determine the safety
and suitability of various investment choices for their portfolios. Major
factors such as risk, reward, diversification, dividends, earnings and other
pertinent sources of information will continue to be discussed.
In this semester, we will focus the schedule on three broad subjects

  • Investment themes
  • Tools of the trade
  • Current relevant investment ideas
We will focus on investment themes like - Dividend Investing and Value investing.
We will also discuss Sector focused strategies, ETFs and Bonds.

  • Value Line and other other data / report services
  • Financial Analysis
  • Valuation tools
  • Position Sizing
  • Disciplined Buying and Selling
  • Managing Risk

We will discuss a summary of current market variables at the start of each class.
We will also have a class on current ideas. We will pick topics based on market
conditions as the time approaches.
