Samples of GWBasic graphics and animation projects
Until 1997 In taught a unit on GWBasic in my 'Introduction to Computer' course.  Within that unit I taught students how to program graphics and animation.  Below are some sample screens. (Sorry, you can't see the animation -- they were really creative.)

Sample 1 - In the animation the space ship moves across the screen, the person rises to the space ship, then ship moves from the center off the screen with the person's face in the window of the ship.

Sample 2 -  In this example, the spaceship enters from the left, the asteriod moves on from the right.  After the screen below, a laser shoots from the ship and the asteroid blows up and disappears.

Sample 3 - In this example, the helicopter started from the lower right side of the screen, moved up, then moved acoss, it is now in the process of moving down to land on the ship.

Samples of Podium project
In this project students were to make a multimedia presentation that taught 'something'.  Students worked in cooperative pairs and choose what their presentation would cover.

Sample 1 - This presentation taught about zoo animals.  The focus was on how to care for the animals.

Sample 2 - This presentation taught elementary students how to earn and save money.

Sample 3 - This presentation taught some history and statistics about four monuments in Washington, D.C.

Sample Number Book project
This Number Book project is taught in conjunction with the Microsoft Power Point unit I teach in 'Introduction to Computers'.   Students complete the book as we learn to use Power Point.  The book consists of the five screens below.

When you click on the picture below a video would run from Power Point.  (It won't run here -- it is just a captured image).

 Sample New Year's Resolution project
This project is done as a part of the Microsoft Power Point unit in 'Introduction to Computers'.  It is used for 'guided practice'.  Students use this project as a chance to practice the Power Point skills that they have learned. Sample screens appear below.
