Research
Interests:
My general research interests are climate dynamics and climate variability. I am currently working on large-scale variability of Arctic Clouds. I am also working on a study that is characterizing the Delaware Bay winds. For these studies, I am involved in the data analysis and meso-scale modeling aspects. Previous research includes a study on the Jet Stream in the North Pacific Ocean. Data from the North Pacific Jet Study can be found here. If you plan on using this data set for a publication email me and cite the below Barton and Ellis (2009) publication. Publication: Barton, NP and A Ellis, 2009: Variability in wintertime position and strength of the north Pacic jet stream as represented by re-analysis data. Selected Presentations: Veron, DE, NP Barton, A Satinsky, and E Geiger, 01-15-2009: Observational analysis and simulation of the Delaware sea/bay breeze.
