My story idea is to create a website that would serve as everyone's homepage or profile for the world to see. The internet is integrating more and more into daily life, but it's still difficult to know exactly who you're dealing with online. If everyone had their own profile page, it would greatly reduce the fear of being scammed or false identity cases. My idea is inspired by things such as Heatware, Ebay's Feedback System, and Facebook.
Each user would have their own home profile page similiar to Facebook. They could list their memberships to known and respected groups such as University of Delaware or Microsoft. Their resumes and information about them would also be listed. Other users could post evaluations and reviews of this user, how reliable they are, and any past online experiences. This website would probably require a database like Mysql, XHML, and some server side scripting like PHP or ASP. This way people could add their profiles, others could search users, and post evaluations about them.
